Description:

SiC whisker is a highly oriented single crystal fiber with a diameter ranging from nanometer to micrometer.
Its crystal structure is similar to that of diamond. There are few chemical impurities in the crystal, no grain boundaries, and few crystal structure defects. The phase composition is uniform.

SiC whisker has high melting point, low density, high strength, high modulus of elasticity, low thermal expansion rate, and good wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and high temperature oxidation resistance.

SiC whisker is mainly used in toughening applications where high temperature and high strength applications are required.

Storage Condition:

Silicon Carbide Whisker (β-SiC-w) should be stored in sealed, avoid light, dry place. Room temperature storage is OK.
