Cu2O Cuprous oxide nanopowder is a kind of antifouling agent with a long history of application. It can improve the compatibility with other components in antifouling coatings, releasing rate is stable, and can improve the antifouling performance of coatings.

Cu2O nanopowder decomposes in seawater to produce copper ions, and copper ions dissolved in seawater can inactivate the main enzymes on which the organism lives, or directly turn the biological cell proteins into metal protein precipitates, causing biological tissue to occur. Change and die.

The accumulation of copper in marine sediments is quite small. Many studies have shown that cuprous oxide can be used fairly safely in antifouling coatings without environmental hazards.
