In the carbon monoxide(CO) detector, palladium nano powder has very high catalytic activity and selectivity, and can convert toxic gases such as carbon monoxide into harmless substances such as carbon dioxide and water vapor, and because of its large specific surface area, the contact area between the gas and the catalyst can be maximized, thereby increasing the rate and efficiency of the catalytic reaction.
